Words I wish we used more

I know I've said this before, but sometimes I think I was born in the wrong era. I have quite the love affair for anything old-fashioned ranging from music sung by Frank Sinatra and Nat King Cole, styles like that in The Great Gatsby (a.k.a. the roaring 20's) and the eloquent way people used to speak. In my effort to try and add more tasteful words to my vocabulary, I've compiled a list of words I wish we used more in our day and age. 

Dapper.  Lovely.  Swell. 

Ravishing. Rubbish. Behalf.
Absurd. Squabble. Balderdash.
Dandy. Scrumptious. Proper. 
Loath. Winsome. Delightful.
Contemplate. Worthy. Fetching. 
Eminent. Palpable. Charming.
Delectable. Enchanting. Precarious

What would you add to this list?

My challenge for you; add some of these words into conversations. 
You'll sound like quite the sophisticated and worldly individual. :)

Sometimes I wish...

I lived in the roaring 20’s.

J. Crew was my own personal closet.

I could eat all the chocolate I wanted and never gain a pound.

I could see Frank Sinatra in concert.

I could live out of my suitcase and travel the world.

A girl can dream, can't she?

I want to be apart of it...

New York, New York!

It's official, only 74 days until my best friend, Meghan, and I venture to NYC.

Words cannot even begin to describe the kind of excitement I'm feeling.

It's hard to believe we first began planning this trip as only freshman in high school!

Now, 4 years later, it's actually going to happen.

Brooklyn Bridge

New York Public Library

And more...  Any other suggestions?

I can't wait to share stories and pictures of our first experience in the big apple.
